Michael S Gomez MD

Dr. Michael Gomez is a urologist with UroPartners who provides comprehensive care for adult men and women with a wide range of urologic conditions. His clinical interests include minimally invasive and robotic assisted urologic surgery, as well as the evaluation and treatment of urinary and voiding concerns.

Dr. Gomez completed his urology residency at the University of Toledo Department of Urology and Renal Transplantation, where he received extensive training in laparoscopic donor nephrectomy for living kidney transplantation. He pursued additional advanced training at Henry Ford Hospital, focusing on robotic assisted laparoscopic surgery for kidney and prostate cancer.

With this specialized background, Dr. Gomez is able to apply minimally invasive and robotic techniques to a variety of urologic conditions, including select disorders of the kidney, ureter, prostate, and pelvic floor. His approach emphasizes careful evaluation, thoughtful treatment planning, and the use of less invasive options whenever appropriate.

In addition to surgical care, Dr. Gomez enjoys working closely with both male and female patients who experience urinary and voiding symptoms. He offers a range of medical and surgical options to help manage conditions such as overactive bladder, urinary incontinence, and urinary difficulties related to prostate enlargement.

Male health is also an important focus of Dr. Gomez’s practice. He works with patients to address concerns related to benign prostate enlargement, erectile dysfunction, and low libido, developing individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s symptoms, health history, and goals.

A Chicago native and University of Chicago alumnus, Dr. Gomez has strong ties to the local community. He values long term patient physician relationships and believes that clear communication and trust are essential to achieving better urologic health.
